I’m in love with the thought of being with Jesus — in the new Heaven and Earth where everything broken is made whole.
📜 Job’s Declaration of Hope
Job 19:25–27
“For I know that my Redeemer lives,
and at the last he will stand upon the earth.
26 And after my skin has been thus destroyed,
yet in my flesh I shall see God,
27 whom I shall see for myself,
and my eyes shall behold, and not another.
My heart faints within me!”
I don’t know why I can’t stop thinking of our future promised homeland with the Lord. Maybe it’s my calling to continue to drive home the reality of what we have to look forward to. I’m still working out my life and seeking opportunities for Kingdom work for the Lord.
As the title reads though, I just cannot stop fantasizing about Heaven. I look forward to being in that place with Jesus and with all of you. It’s okay for you to fantasize about Heaven too. It puts things into perspective when you meditate on that place. When you realize that although this life can be hard to the point of crushing us, we have hope. A future to look forward to.
Our minds are full of worry and stress. Our bodies broken and decaying. We’ve experienced loss and death, we miss the people we lost so much. Perhaps we’re now battling our own health problems and mortality. We’ve seen evils, experienced temptation and sin.
The life of a follower of Christ is not for the weak. Though His burden of salvation is light, the process of our transformation is a war — flesh against Spirit. To entrust yourself to the Lord in all ways and manners in life. The enemy will attack you for this way of life. We all sin still; don’t put that burden on yourself that you must be perfect. But truly and genuinely be in communion with the Lord and working with the Holy Spirit on your sins instead of living in them.
💔 Paul’s Struggle — Our Struggle
Paul, one of the greatest followers of God in the entire Bible, struggled with sin explaining the condition you and I are in now:
Romans 7:15, 18–19
“15 For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. 16 Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. 17 So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. 18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.”
This life, living in this world, is hard. Share your burdens with each other. Don’t forsake the gathering together with people of the faith. Be involved with a church community and don’t be so proud to think that you are so in touch with your spirituality that you no longer need the church. Not a church building but your fellow people of God. Take care of each other, love one another. And show that love to the rest of the world through your everyday interactions.
🌅 My Strategy for Stress
This is my strategy for stress, to put myself in that place and meditate on these things. Even when we are in a successful or peace-filled season in life it still is so beautiful to be thankful and look forward to what we have in store for us:
O’ beautiful child of the King of Heaven, when life is grinding you to the ground keep your mind on the things above. We will have our rest, and the Word of God says there will be a day that the Lord Himself will stand upon the earth and the dead will see Him — not in the form of a spirit but present again in their flesh resurrected from bodily death to eternal life with Him in a new body that will be familiar to us.

🌟 My Fantasy of Heaven
I would like to tell you of my fantasy of Heaven, as we are allowed to dream up scenarios of what we think it could be like. Let your imagination flow. Be excited for the promised land, close your eyes and dream of what it could be and the beauty we’ll see.
The ultimate destination for all of us that are in the Lord is not the Heaven that God is currently in. It is important that we study the Word of God and know that there are multiple destinations in the afterlife and after this age. To die now is to be in spirit and be with the Lord in Heaven waiting for the day of resurrection.
After the events of Revelation, the Bible — from Old Testament to the New Testament — screams out and celebrates that God will come from Heaven into His creation to live with His people on a restored Planet Earth. That means God will leave the heavenly realm and come into his creation (Earth). He will bring the spirits of those resting in Him and resurrect them on this new planet earth in new perfect bodies suitable for eternity. Those of us that are still alive when Jesus returns at the end of Tribulation will not die but be changed from these lowly bodies directly into the bodies Jesus has prepared for us. That will take place after the dead have been resurrected.
Revelation 21:1–4
“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place[a] of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people,[b] and God himself will be with them as their God.[c] 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.””
1 Thessalonians 4:16–17
“16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.”
1 Corinthians 15:52–53
“52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.”
🏙️ Life on the New Earth
Scripture paints it in awe-inspiring detail — walls of jasper, gates of pearl, and streets of transparent gold. This city will be the very dwelling place of God among His people, a place of unending light where the gates never close. And yet, as breathtaking as New Jerusalem will be, it is not the only wonder of our eternal home. The new Earth around it will be full of life, structure, and purpose — and that’s where my imagination takes flight.
🌍 Nations, Gates, and Perfect Peace
So there we are, on a new restored Earth. There is a huge beautiful city that has room for all of us. But there is also an entire planet around this city. The Bible alludes to structure, order, work, tasks, community, life, traveling, feasts, nations, kings — all on this new Earth. I imagine us developing the rest of the planet.
Maybe we will be divided into nations. It would make sense that, as God initially set up with Israel, it would be perfected in Heaven — 12 perfect nations surrounding the city of God. The capital city New Jerusalem is described as having 12 huge gates that lead into the city and these gates never close. Maybe each gate leads to the land of a nation of people. Just something to think about and present in my fantasy of this promised land.
I imagine nations and cities of people built on this planet, and we will inhabit the entirety of it while knowing how to properly care for the land to retain its beauty. We will travel around our new world in a perfectly functioning society where we have lives to live, things to do. Perhaps we don’t automatically know every other human in Heaven. But we have eternity — knowing that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ, heirs of God, and that every single person you meet you can trust completely knowing that they are pure in Christ just as you are.
We are safe everywhere. There is no darkness, no dark alley with an enemy waiting. No phone call that a loved one is sick or that something bad has happened. No feelings of worry or stress. This place will be full of life and love for all things and all people.
I imagine that we will travel and work between nations. That we will travel to and from the Great City whose gates will never close for visitations, festivals, holidays, celebrations, service, and so much more.
Perhaps we will be able to build our own homes, tend to our own land. We will have purpose and work that contributes to this great and perfect new world that we will all absolutely love to do — work that fits us perfectly — and it will be beautiful.
🌌 A Universe Restored
In my last post, I mentioned this verse by Paul about this current state of creation being corrupted and in bondage and that the Word of God says that creation will be freed.
Romans 8:18-22
“18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.”
So what does that mean? The Bible doesn’t stop there; it says there will be New Heavens and a New Earth. With humanity restored to God in perfect unity and the curse removed, evil defeated.
When we are standing on this new beautiful world of ours and look up into that beautiful starry sky, I dream that they will no longer be out of reach for us. There is a reason that God will restore the Heavens, the universe — meaning all of the other planets and stars we now see.
Current scientific estimates are that there are ~10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (10 sextillion) planets in the observable universe. That is an extremely conservative number assigning at least 1 planet to each star. Well, we know in our solar system we have at least 8–9 planets on this 1 star (the Pluto thing is weird, I dunno lol).
I believe in an all-powerful and loving God. His personality is amazing. He is funny, so caring, so kind and gentle, patient, wise beyond all measure, and just wants the absolute best for us. The kind of Father that you just want to do everything for.
In addition to all of that, our God is a creator. I imagine all 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000+ planets being restored to life — from cold barren wastelands and dried-up sun-scorched planets to each planet being unique, perfectly created and crafted by God. Just imagine all the different types of worlds that could be created — an entire universe displaying the power, beauty, and creativity of God.
In my fantasy, we will get to travel from our home planet where the God of the universe and His people reside and visit these other planets and see their beauty.
👑 Reigning With Christ
The Bible tells us that we will rule and reign with Christ.
Revelation 22:5
“And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.”
In my vision of this age to come, these planets are filled with angelic civilizations — all different and unique as described in the Bible. We are told of various species of angels with different appearances and functions, and I see the Creator filling the New Heavens with life.
🚀 How Will We Get There?
Well, as I said, this will be on a New Earth with New Heavens. Since we will live in God’s creation, the laws created by God (think physics, gravity, nature) will still apply. Gravity won’t just go away for example.
When you read the Bible, you will read about angels coming into Earth, into this creation, and that the angels used what the Bible authors described as chariots. These were flying vehicles, in our common language.
2 Kings 2:11
“And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire,… and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.”
From the story of Elijah and Elisha, we know these vehicles fly and have the ability to hover in the air and pick up humans off the ground in a whirlwind to bring them into this vehicle and then take them from the Earth, out of the atmosphere, and to God.
I mentioned those vehicles because I imagine us living on a planet of highly sophisticated, perfected technology and being able to travel to other planets in a vehicle such as these used by the Angels. I don’t believe that God will just use His invisible power to make everything happen for us out of thin air. I believe He is a God of order and processes and wants us to use our God-given creativity as well. To work for it and celebrate our accomplishments together.
We have eternity — why the rush?
Would you be surprised to learn that God Himself has a vehicle, a method of travel that can take flight, land and has wheels. It moves and makes a loud noise when it moves. It is described as a mobile throne. You can read about that in the first chapter of the book of Ezekiel.
Speaking of these restored planets, I imagine there would be opportunities for work for people who would absolutely love to be part of something like this — those scientific minds that couldn’t figure it out on this current Earth but, in a collaborative effort, build the perfected version of a space travel program for all the citizens of New Jerusalem, the people of God.
My fantasy is all derived from the Bible; of course these details are not all correct. The point is I want you to fall in love with this place and the possibilities. I want you to dream about it. Keep your mind on this place as our destination to put things into perspective here.
We have a mission and a calling to spread the gospel, teach the world about Jesus — the only way to God and the only gate with which to gain access to this promised land.

🌳 A Dream I Can’t Forget
I want to conclude this post with a dream I had years ago. A dream that I could never forget. It was so vivid, so memorable, and interesting. Do I think it was a dream from God? I don’t know. Do I think it could be a dream my mind cooked up because I think about all this so much? Likely. Whether from God or not, it is a dream that I can think about to imagine the wonders that we have in store for us when I need the reminder or the comfort — to think about our future home.
In my dream I was on what I assume was the New Earth, I didn’t see any details about it but then suddenly I was somewhere altogether different. In my dream I knew this was a different planet. I was descending to this planet, how I don’t know, I could only see what my eyes were observing. I was really high over the planet and could see very far off in the distance and the entire planet was filled with giant trees that reached the clouds.
The branches connected to each other creating ways to travel from tree to tree. The base of these trees would have been as big as entire cities or states. I descended to the ground and could look up and marvel at the size of this tree. At the ground level there was a large hollowed out hole in the tree that functioned as the entryway to the inside of the trunk.
Before I went inside I looked and could see the roots of the tree were spreading out in all directions and there were homes growing out of them. Inside the trunk of the tree I was made aware that I was with a group of young men and we were full of joy, excitement, almost child-like and we were racing to get inside the trunk of this tree. Once inside I saw a huge balcony that started from either side of the entryway and circled around to meet.
I noticed the inside of the tree was filled with beings going about life and that this tree held a huge library. There were books reaching up as high as I could see and these beings resembled Owls, their likeness was familiar to me. They were huge, a couple stories tall and tending to this library. One of the owls noticed us and announced to everyone “The Sons of God are here”.
We were still on the first floor, staring up at a wall that looked like the bark of a tree. We were trying to get up to where that Owl was and our hands and feet began to glow. Our group of young men, “Sons of God”, started laughing with each other and then began to run and climb very quickly up this wall. At the top we waved to the Owl and kept running and racing each other around the balcony and out a different entrance of the tree. And I looked back and could see that that the faces of the Owls were full of happiness and genuine excitement to have seen us. That we were something to be witnessed.
💡 Final Plea
I don’t know what awaits us. These are just my thoughts and fantasies. But my heart yearns to be there with God, with Jesus. To experience that place and live with Him. No more distance between us.
The point of this post is to just plead with you to keep your mind on the things above. Understand that when we put our faith in Christ we become a new creation, and this current state of the Earth is not our home. Don’t be like worldly people and think this is all there is.
I know that you know deep down that is not true. Don’t believe the lie that this life is all there is to it, that there’s nothing else beyond this. Keeping your mind on the hope and promises of God really does heal us and strengthen our resolve as we deal with the stresses and tribulations of this life.
